Agribusiness
Using our software, we performed an international survey of tea packers, sellers, and distributors to better understand their preferences in purchasing tea from growers. Emails were sent to several hundred firms, and responses were quickly collected. Using OTF Insight's analysis capabilities, data was gathered which enabled our African Tea clients' choice of target market segments, distribution partners, and marketing approaches.

Transportation
While working with a Latin American client in the transportation industry, we were exploring their options for growth and their current clients willingness to expand with them into new regions. All current clients were surveyed, and some suprising results were found. Current clients respected the company and were willing to entertain expansion with them—provided that they first addressed and improved some operational issues connected to their core competencies, providing some important services integral to the clients business.

Financial Services
We surveyed the former clients of a financial services provider to better understand why clients were leaving and how to improve customer retention. A majority of clients were leaving due to specific customer service issues, especially associated fees and long waits. This information gave the client the very specific information that it needed, through immediate customer feedback, to address exact problems through adjustments to its policy and procedures.

Product Marketing
When it came time to name our own product, we realized that the best way we could approach it was by USING our own product (eating our own dogfood!) to ask employees and respected outside people to give their opinions on our long list of possible names and taglines. Using the product simplified the process and allowed us to get objective opinions, and take action quickly based on that feedback.

Manufacturing
An overseas client manufacturing bicycles was considering a market entry strategy for the Untied States, and wanted to know the best way to reach bike sellers and distributors. Using OTF Insight, we performed a survey of US bike shops to better understand their needs from distributors and to better understand the buying habits of US customers. The information from the survey gave the client enough information to create a detailed picture of the US market, and to inform a pro-active market entry strategy.
