Robert J. Barro is the Robert C. Waggoner Professor of Economics at Harvard University, and a leading global authority on the determinants of economic growth and the specific role of dollarization. A member of the Harvard University faculty since 1987, Robert is also a senior fellow of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, a widely-read viewpoint columnist for Business Week, and a frequent contributor to The Wall Street Journal. Mr. Barro has written extensively on a broad range of macroeconomic topics: his work includes eleven books and hundreds of articles in journals such as the American Economic Review, Journal of Economic Growth and Journal of Political Economy.
