Robert
J. Barro is the Robert C. Waggoner Professor of Economics
at Harvard University, and a leading global authority on the
determinants of economic growth and the specific role of dollarization.
A member of the Harvard University faculty since 1987, Robert
is also a senior fellow of the Hoover Institution at Stanford
University, a widely-read viewpoint columnist for Business
Week, and a frequent contributor to The Wall Street
Journal. Mr. Barro has written extensively on a broad
range of macroeconomic topics: his work includes eleven books
and hundreds of articles in journals such as the American
Economic Review, Journal of Economic Growth and Journal of
Political Economy. Highlights of Robert’s recent publications
include Determinants of Economic Growth: A Cross-Country
Empirical Study, and Getting It Right: Markets and
Choices in a Free Society both from MIT Press.
