Neal
Donahue is a Director at the OTF Group; he is responsible
for projects in Asia and the Near East. Neal has more than
ten years’ experience working in developing nations.
Neal is an expert on the practical applications of economic
development in post-conflict environments. He has guided business
and government leaders in analyzing national clusters and
institutions. Neal specializes in the appropriate use of technology
to accelerate economic growth in developing economies such
as El Salvador, Venezuela, and Colombia.
Neal’s recent focus has been on the implementation of
cluster-level strategy development and competitiveness programs
in Afghanistan, Uganda, and Vietnam. In addition, Neal leads
the OTF Group’s trade pattern research efforts. Neal
has studied the international trade patterns of countries
around the world.
Neal Donahue is also the Program Manager for the two-year
Afghanistan Competitiveness Program, designed by the Ministry
of Finance and the OTF Group, and supported by USAID.
Previously, Mr. Donahue managed the Rwandan Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) project.
Prior to joining the OTF Group, Mr. Donahue spent six years
with the Monitor Group, where he redesigned the internal business
processes of a heavy machinery manufacturer; facilitated the
post-merger integration of two pharmaceutical companies; and
helped a start-up expand the market (for their data visualization
technology) beyond the industry they had traditionally served
Mr. Donahue received
his B.A. in English from the University of New Hampshire.
He is a frequent lecturer at conferences in the U.S. and abroad.
