Aref Adamali is a manager
with the OTF Group. He has worked on competitiveness projects
in Rwanda, the Caribbean and Afghanistan, where he has developed
growth strategies and investment plans for leading business
sectors. As part of these efforts, Aref also supported the
development and growth of public-private sector partnerships,
and led a number of multi-actor initiatives to address near-term
business barriers faced by private firms. Aref has just moved
to India, where he is leading a project to develop business
services strategies focused on small and medium-sized enterprises.
Prior to joining OTF, Aref worked at the World Bank’s
Global ICT Department, spearheading the Bank’s engagement
with clients in the development of national e-strategies,
and as a management consultant in BearingPoint’s Public
Services Practice, based out of New York.
Aref has a masters degree in Economic and Political Development
from Columbia University’s School of International and
Public Affairs (SIPA) and an undergraduate degree from the
London School of Economics (LSE).
