Jeremy Kahn
Jeremy Kahn, a Manager at OTF Group has extensive experience in entrepreneurship and innovation, and has led private sector growth in the US and overseas. He has expertise in cluster strategy development, international marketing and brand building, survey design and implementation, value chain analysis, sector selection technology, increasing public-private sector dialogue, and works with the highest levels of business and government in several African countries and in the Caribbean.
He is currently based in New York, United States with a range of responsibilities including the management of Haiti’s national Sector Selection and Vision development project. Most recently, he has focused on the building of Haiti’s National Competitiveness Council, the Group de Travail sur la Competitivité (GC), supporting its branding and marketing efforts, while developing its institutional capacity. Mr. Kahn currently drove the GC’s sector selection and mental models analysis process, which laid the groundwork for a Shared Vision for Haiti’s development and future. Finally, he managed a team of researchers from Columbia Business School in a strategy and positioning study for Haitian fruit in the U.S. market.
Previously, Mr. Kahn managed Rwanda’s national tourism strategy development, focusing on product diversification strategies, including avitourism, conference tourism and cultural tourism, steering government and private sector towards continued growth and sustainability. He also played a key role in the restructuring and strengthening of national tourism boards, tourism chambers and associations, building stronger self-sustaining institutions.
Additionally, Mr. Kahn managed efforts of the Africa and Caribbean portions of the Pioneers of Prosperity award program, an annual initiative that seeks to recognize and reward dynamic companies in emerging markets, as well as expand the research and discussion on enterprise solutions to poverty. Mr. Kahn was also a regular instructor at Rwanda’s Academy for Leadership in Competitiveness and Prosperity (ALCP) in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship at competitiveness.
Prior to joining OTF, Mr. Kahn owned and managed a US based luxury consumables company focused on developing high end, innovative consumable accessories for the lifestyle market. With over 5 years of entrepreneurship and management experience, he was able to achieve vast international distribution in over 30 countries, build a widely recognized brand, manage and train 21 employees and increase profitability through refined manufacturing methods.
